Happy Weekend!

I'm really looking forward to this weekend! I'm home visiting my mom, meeting my dear friend's baby for the first time, and meeting up with a bunch of fabulous wedding folks while I'm here. And since it's my birthday, and I've been dreaming about this marble cake since I first tried it a month ago, I'll be picking one up as soon as possible. Mmmm..... Board #496: Secret Garden, Revisited

One of the very first inspiration boards I ever posted was inspired by The Secret Garden, and when I saw this post over on Dress Design Decor a couple of weeks ago, I immediately wanted to revisit the theme (and hopefully improve upon it). Faded blue, vintage keys, overgrown vines, and romantic stationery pull the look together, while a chandelier hung in a tree, a unique candelabra, and paisley printed linens add something unexpected. I blinked and now it's July - how did that happen!? I have a little counter on my Google homepage that tells me how many days until our wedding (yes, yes, I'm a big nerd), and I just can't believe how quickly the time is flying by. Our 4th of July plans are as yet unformed, but I think they should involve patriotic desserts and sparklers. What about you?
